- In this section this is proved to be false because Langan tried but people wouldnt help or let him
There is a connection between effort and reward
- Chris puts in the effort to be different than the rest of his family and make something of himself but he does not get the reward
-instead he ends up working back at home

- A persons backround influnces there success, you can be a genuis but not make anything of yourself

-Although with Oppenheimer it proved true, it still did not with Langan and they were equally brilliant

-Oppenheimer poccesed this ability and he did not let others get in his way where as Langan did not have the ability to see an opportunity and take it, he would just lay back and whatever happened happened

-Cultural advantage does not have to do with race
